The Judges votes are in… and 2019 marks the third X Games Gold for Frank Bourgeois in Real Snow! So, you may or may not know that with the Real Snow competition there are two sets of medals to be handed out. One set is voted by the 3 judges, which this year were Pat Moore, Dan Brisse and Pat Bridges. There is also the public vote which will be annouced soon. For now the judges votes are in and Frank has gone and won it again! I mean he does deserve it for going absolutely ham crazy on the gnarliest spots known to man, so we can only congratulate him for that!
In second place taking home the silver medal is fellow Canadian Anto Chamberland. Also favoring the pretty gnarly and huge spots… lastly in third taking the Bronze medal home is, well its another Canadian… Craig McMorris! So a big shout out to all three of the boys for going next level in the streets of Canada.
BUT, it’s not all over yet! The people have spoken and their votes are yet to be counted up. Although the Canadians may have impressed the judges with their signature ‘go big or go home’ moves, we also had the very first female entry for the Real Snow, Maria Thomsen and she put down a killer part and turned a lot of heads doing so. Then there was Will Smith, super stylish street rider from the UK who made sure he rode how he knows best out in the streets of Finland and got a lot of suport all over Europe. Finally, Spencer Schubert, a late entry having only 2 weeks to film his part, so he decided to stay local and spend all of his time in the infamour Rail Gardens of SLC, and damn we’ve never seen a part quite like it to come out of one little dog walkers park.
So it’s still all to play for to see who can take home the medals voted by the public. Watch this space.
In the mean time, here are the judges winning videos with some BTS… enjoy the madness!
