Ethan Morgan, Mario Käppeli, Flo Corzelius, Halldor “Highbackharold” Helgason und Tor Lundström waren gemeinsam im Stubai Zoo unterwegs, um sich auf die Saison vorzubereiten. Wir möchten an dieser Stelle noch einmal unser tiefstes bedauern ausdrücken, dass sich Ethan und Halldor nicht für die olympischen Spiele qualifizieren konnten. Beide wären dort eine große Bereicherung gewesen.

Ethan hat dieses Statement auf seinem Facebook-Profil veröffentlicht:

GIVE US SNOWBOARDING BACK!! I was in the olympic qualifying mayhem and have to say straight up my honest opinion after seeing what really goes down these days. Contest snowboarding has gone to shit. We can mainly thank the FIS-SKI federation for that, but us snowboarders have let this happen to our competitive side of snowboarding. If we just keep on doing this shit and not care about our sport, it will just get worse. I grew up to watching the competitive side of snowboarding and loved it, but now all i see is coaches telling us what runs to do, mutegrabs everywhere, terrible judging, spin to win, no style involved and mad serious faces. I really hope after the olympics snowboarding can take a change.
